Our God is REAL and he is GOOD!
This week He met us with two awesome blessings... both in the car department
#1
I drive a hybrid car, and the little light that says "hey, um... something is wrong in my hybrid parts and you might want to take me in" came on....
ok, truthfully, it's been on for a few weeks and I keep pretending it's not there.
So Saturday I took it in, and they confirmed my hybrid battery had died (and super prematurely at that).
In case you aren't familiar with hybrids, this is the moment every hybrid owner dreads because, as much money as the car saves you, most people can't shell out $3-5K (yep, you read that correctly) when their hybrid battery dies.
So he checks out my account and informs us my car is still under warranty and so everything should be FREE..... can I get a "phew!!!!" and a "Hallelujah!!!"???
Guess when my warranty expires.... March. In just under 2 months. Thank you Jesus! This new battery (as long as it works properly) might even outlast my car! And I didn't pay one penny!

Also this week, Brandon's headlights went out. If anything, it was mostly just an inconvenience. It was money we didn't want to spend to try to replace them (especially because both our yearly registrations are due right now too.... we're in car mode right now). But, of course, if you want to drive at night, headlights are key. So we just said a little prayer along the lines of "Lord, keep us safe and help the bulbs to be cheap!" and went about our merry way.
The next night..... full power, bright lights.
I say to Brandon "Wow, those new bulbs are nice and bright!"
"...I didn't get new bulbs...." he says.
We looked at each other, smiled and said a thank you to the One who cares about even the most mundane details of our lives.
Please pray for our sweet puppy girl -- we gave her a new flea treatment the other day that was recommended by the vet and she had an allergic reaction. Steroids, wet paper towels, and a good bath are a must today. :( Here is a video of her trying to get it off and acting like a crazy.
Poor girl is so uncomfortable and itchy. She pulled herself around and buried her nose so much she rubbed it raw, so now she has a scab on her nose. We gave her Benedryl so she could rest. If ever you need your doggie to calm down, Benedryl or turkey gravy are the tricks!
And finally, I just received this book in the mail today! WOOHOO! I'm excited to go through it with my Mindy-friend. I am ready to learn more about where God is moving us as a dance company/ministry. More news on that to come!
Hope everyone is having a wonderful Wednesday!
Poor puppy, but PTL on the car stuff! Hope the book is good, I'd love to borrow it when you are finished :) I'm missing dance so much right now, both physically and spiritually!
ReplyDeleteI will totally let you borrow it! But it is a study so you might want your own copy to write in. $12.50 on Amazon!
ReplyDeleteYou'll be back into dance soon! It's always going to be a part of your life!! :)
Do you move around at all at home? We should have a worship/arm waving/swaying date :)
